Project Title: Samaritan Security

Team members: Ryan Goluch, Saba Shaarbaf-Toosi: Advocate, Kate Brune, Ann Gould, Devin Uner, Thomas Paris

Weekly Summary:

This week we worked on fleshing out our demo scenario and researching use cases for that scenario. In addition, we worked on our lightning talk due this week and the design document v2

Past week accomplishments:

• We looked into use cases for our project and different ways to specify and utilize our project

Pending Issues:

• Finishing up design document II and getting ready to present for class

Individual Contributions

Plans for the upcoming week:

• Ann Gould: Set up a basic flask app with a mongodb backend and make it deployable in Docker… We are trying to figure out an optimal way to manage our distributed server

• Saba Shaarbaf-Toosi: This week I will be doing research on current security system websites to get more of an idea of what our use cases should look like/what our website capabilities should be

• Kate Brune: Made a use-case diagram for our project, played around with a kubernetes tutorial to understand it and how we could use it, thinking about what functionally our frontend components will need

• Ryan Goluch: Started to go through Design Document V1 and edit/update based on the suggestions given at our last meeting with Dr. Trajcevski. This included adding content as well as making the content that was already there more cohesive.

• Devin Üner:

• Thomas Paris: Worked on sections of the design document. Created a more concrete scenario, use case list and plan for how the development of Samaritan will progress.

Summary of advisor meeting:

We went through the design document thoroughly and talked about what we will include in each section and how each section will relate to another
